Mark BASSETT
Mark is Nuclear Director at Lloyd’s Register Energy where he is responsible for developing LR’s nuclear strategy and coordinating LR’s global nuclear business. Previously he was, for 23 years, in the UK’s nuclear safety regulator, Office for Nuclear Regulation, and for the last 3 years he was HM Deputy Chief Nuclear Inspector. He is a highly experienced senior leader in the nuclear sector, and has a deep knowledge and experience of the application of the UK nuclear regulatory system across all nuclear sectors: civil nuclear reactors, defence and nuclear decommissioning and waste management. In recent years he directed the regulation of the Sellafield site in the UK, recognised as one of the most hazardous and complex nuclear sites in the world, with huge regulatory challenges.
He is also recognized internationally for his nuclear expertise, having been the UK lead on the development of international nuclear safety standards, a senior member of International Atomic Energy Agency international regulatory peer review missions and acting Vice-President of one of the two key international nuclear conventions.
Hervé Hottelart
Hervé Hottelart, 62, has a Master of Sciences from MIT (USA) and is a graduate of Ecole Centrale de Paris (France) with a Master in Metallurgy. He began his career in 1978 with SNECMA (Jet Engines industry), and held management position successively at Dresser Industries (Control valves for Nuclear and Oil industries), and Spie Ferriere (Piping for Nuclear Reactors). Beginning in 1997, he joined Bombardier (Rolling stocks industry) to ensure industrial top management assignments in different countries (Belgium, China, Australia and Switzerland). From 2000 to 2003, he started as General Manager a J.V. in Qingdao (Shandong) to built intercity trains with CSR Sifang as Chinese partner. He joined AREVA in February 2009, where he head AREVA Chalon / Saint Marcel Plant until 2013. He moved to Beijing in July 2013 to become V.P. for AREVA Supply Chain in Asia.
Jianshe CHAI
Jianshe CHAI, 52, earned his PhD in Engineering from the University of Science and Technology Beijing. He began his career in 1984. From 1998 to 1999, he was a postdoctoral scholar at the University of British Columbia, Canada. From 2000 to 2001, he studied at Ecole des Mines de Paris for 10 months. From 2001 to 2010, He was a professor and Dean of School of Safety and Environmental Engineering at the Capital University of Economic and Business.
He joined NSC as Deputy Director-General in 2010. Currently he is in charge of equipment supervision, technological research and development and informatization, etc.
Chi Zhaohua
Chi Zhaohua, 48, has a Bachelor’s Degree from Tianjin University (China). He began his career in 1990 with CNNC(Equipment and Material Dep.), and held management position successively at Material Designing for Nuclear Power Plant of Ling’ao and Qinshan. From 2007 till now, he joined Procurement Dept. of CNNC to manage the equipment procurement for Tianwan Nuclear Power Plant. Meanwhile in 2010, he started as Associate Director of Procurement Dept. to be in charge of Project Management.
